Kari Bayait creates stunning visual experiences through information and promotional design. “I have an unwavering passion for the visual and performing arts and the impact they have on the quality of life in a community,” shares the designer. “As a designer for placemaking, it is my job to entice visitors to explore the arts and culture around them. At events and exhibitions, I have the unique opportunity to communicate visually with an audience, making a lasting connection.”
Bayait keeps her studio art practices alive through drawing, painting, printmaking and mosaics. She has designed mosaic murals that engage a range of community members for on-site installation. “My enthusiasm for public art stems from early childhood experiences where murals were a magnetic force for outreach, inclusion and placemaking”.
The community of clients Bayait naturally aligns with are theatre, galleries, arts and culture organizations, festivals/live events, specialty retail and independent publication. Through networking and long lasting relationships, Bayait relishes in being part of grassroots efforts for entrepreneurs in nutrition, healthcare and historic preservation.
Throughout her twenty years of experience, Bayait has relished in the designer-client process, from ideation to fulfilment. “I absolutely love working with enthusiastic clients who have a sincere passion for what they offer,” adds the artist. “A spark is generated and the energy migrates to me where we become partners in a journey. Their vision, mission and inspired ideas ignite the flame that keeps my creative fire burning.”
